Statement from Chair of HealthProm on Ukraine

We observe with alarm and sadness the invasion of Ukraine and the deterioration in relations between the West and Russia.

HealthProm was set up 36 years ago in a climate of optimism and hope to build relations with countries of the former Soviet Union and to develop professional and personal links with Western countries. Much was achieved. The rights of vulnerable children, mothers and families were strengthened and care for them improved. We are proud of the extensive network of local partners and friends we have worked with over the years.

We remain committed to our mission to support these vulnerable groups. We will explore how we can help in Ukraine, building on our previous work to address the rights and needs of children with disabilities.
