We would like to highlight Claire Scott’s JustGiving fundraiser for HealthProm’s Emergency Ukraine Appeal!
On Sunday, June 19th, Claire cycled the 54 miles from London to Brighton with several friends and other fellow cyclists. Her ride fundraised for children with disabilities and their families, who are among the most severely affected by the war in Ukraine. Many of these children with disabilities are spending their time in cellars and metro stations, without access to the most basic necessities for survival. Her fundraiser has already raised a little over her goal of £1000!
Claire’s personal inspiration is the son of her good family friends. This young man has down syndrome and his parents are “constantly and consistently advocating for the things he needs to live a full and happy life”. Claire explains that this is no easy task, even in the UK. She can’t even imagine having the same challenges while also adapting to the upheaval of war.
We hope that Claire’s initiative will inspire others to create their own fundraising page and help the cause for our Emergency Ukraine Appeal.
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far!
