The UK Department for International Development (DFID) will be co-hosting this high profile event together with the International Disability Alliance and the Government of Kenya.
From DFID :
We will host a Global Disability Summit in July this year to galvanise the global effort to address disability inclusion in the poorest countries in the world and act as the start point for major change on this neglected issue.
The event will be led by individuals with disabilities from around the world, and high-level participants will include Government Ministers, donor agencies, civil society organisations and CEOs of private sector companies.
HealthProm, along with other international organisations, has signed the 'Charter for Change' that has been created in association with the Summit. The Charter outlines global commitment to supporting the rights of individuals with disabilities. It can be downloaded below.
More information about the Summit, including the programme, can be found here.
